Jon Snow - Two Very Different Men

HBO’s Jon Snow ~

Jon is a horrible ranger and equally bad at following orders. He follows Craster out into the woods and gets his ass handed to him. He also gets his brothers kicked out of Craster’s house and Mormont reams him for being an idiot.

Jon Snow is not very close to his wolf. He shouts after Ghost while they’re ranging, and is made fun of because of it. When Ghost ignores him, Jon pouts and stomps off like a child. We never see them together, and are lead to believe that Ghost could care less about what Jon wants or needs.

When Qhorin Halfhand and his men meet up with Mormont, Jon begs Mormont to let him go with him. Mormont reluctantly allows it, telling Jon he hopes he’s better at ranging than he is at being a steward.

Jon Snow is an idiot who chases after Ygritte because he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. He spends the night poking her in the back and lets her make fun of his vows the next morning up until she escapes (for a second time) and she leads him straight into a trap.

Bookverse’s Jon Snow ~

Jon Snow is very close to his wolf. Ghost sleeps at his side almost every night, and when he is not there, Jon misses him. Jon dreams and sees through Ghost’s eyes and is able to spot Mance Rayder’s encampment because of it. He fears for Ghost’s health up until the wolf returns to camp, and his Brothers help patch Ghost up because they all care for and respect him.

Jon is invited to join Qhorin and his small band of men. Qhorin trusts in him, encourages him to think on his feet, and chooses Jon alone to climb a mountain side with him in the dark (with a bad hand, no less!) to take care of three sentries.

Jon Snow is honest and smart. He lets Ygritte go when he’s left to kill her because he’s a good man (she later vouches for him because of it) and he admits as much to Halfhand when he returns to his men. Jon stays at Qhorin’s side and follows every god-damn order up until the very messy end. He is a Brother of the Night’s Watch through and through, and takes his responsibilities very seriously.

I refuse to go to bed at a decent time. So I must turn Food Network on and watch reruns of reality...

We’ve been in an abusive relationship for years, ever since you cancelled Firefly, but this really hammers the last nail into the coffin. The Finder was a GOOD SHOW. And YOU, Fox, would not know a good show if it jumped up and bit you in the ass.

You put it on hiatus midway through the season, give its time slot to another show, and then cancel it when you move it to Friday nights and the ratings drop. I’m sorry, but I can’t hear your excuses over the sound of how STUPID you are. My mom watches The Finder and she missed it four weeks in a row because she kept forgetting the new day and time. It’s nice to think that people her age can keep track of shows they like, but often times that is NOT the case. YOU are to blame for this. Not the viewers. So FUCK YOU.
